ZIRCONIUM
Zirconium treatment is an application which offers the aesthetic options closest to the natural teeth for an aesthetic smile, by using zirconium which is a white alloy.
When and how is it applied?
It is used in highly discoloured teeth that cannot be achieved with other bleaching methods, genetic discolorations, previously filled teeth, teeth that have lost its mass to a great extent, separated or less crowded tooth problems and in smiling aesthetic arrangements of the anterior teeth in addition to the bridge or veneers.
Zirconium is processed as a pure mineral to derive a material called zirconia ceramic. Once the transformation is completed, it is processed in special furnaces and used as a veneer without metal support.
What are pros and cons?
Zirconium treatment, which allows highly natural-looking teeth thanks to its light permeability, does not leave a dark colour in the gums. It gives almost original look. Since it is compatible with gingiva and does not contain metal, it does not jeopardize the gingival health. It is the most natural and realistic type of veneer. It does not involve the risk of losing or sifting. It is long-lasting and durable. It does not have any disadvantages.
