Wisdom Tooth Operations
Wisdom tooth operations are the extraction of partially erupted or embedded third molars by means of surgical procedures.
Wisdom teeth which are located at the far back of the tooth array are the third molars and erupt partially or remain embedded in the jawbone. Wisdom tooth needs to be extracted if it prevents other teeth from erupting properly, decays or causes the person to bite his/her cheek or tongue involuntarily. Another problem it causes is pain or abscess when infected.
Bleeding is prevented by placing gauze on the extraction area for half an hour. The pain and swelling that occurs will disappear 1-2 weeks max.
